    Development Through Contemplation

    Respectful parenting

Respectful Parenting is a model of grounded, clear, and gentle leadership that harnesses the forces and movement of life in their fullest expression. Respectful Parenting seeks to care for the whole garden — the inner garden of each member of the family, and the shared garden of the family as a whole, across its many circles. It allows us to tend to the conditions of our private garden — watering, light, nourishment, and the quality of the soil — while also creating pathways for regulation and balance throughout the system, together with attention to every flower and leaf as a whole world unto itself. The garden knows and responds to the landscape and climate in which it exists and remains in life-giving relationship with them. Respectful Parenting is rooted in core principles and tools from Focusing and Family Constellation work, among others, together with a conceptual and practical framework for approaching the questions and requests emerging for us on the parenting path (with children of all ages). The meetings are designed to create understanding and practical possibility for inner and outer changes that shape and embody the desired and fitting transformation in life and at home.

    Birth Accompaniment

(Including knowledge-sharing for beginning doulas and supervision for professionals) Birth is one of the most meaningful human experiences we encounter — as those who are born, as those who give birth, and as the partners of birthing women. I have been accompanying births for the past 23 years מתוך a deep sense of calling and privilege. I believe that every woman deserves a healthy, good, and joyful experience of pregnancy and birth. And for women whose previous experiences were not such, future births absolutely can — and should — become healing, restorative, and growth-promoting experiences. What is a “good birth experience”? — for every woman, it is different.

    Family constellation

Constellation is a profound approach that offers a way to understand a problem, challenge, or relationship by viewing it as part of the system to which it belongs. Family Constellation, with its gentleness and wisdom, looks at the wider contexts of these issues — horizontally (siblings, business partners, and others) and vertically (parents, previous generations, and those who came before in history or within an organizational structure). Often, it invites the entire system to discover a new order that is more aligned for all its parts — an order in which love can flow without obstruction, the processes of life within body and emotion are no longer disrupted, and the movement of life can carry itself forward and fully realize itself. Disruptions in love; physical or emotional pain; family disconnection; weakening; repetition of patterns; avoidance and stuckness; intergenerational entanglement; sacrifice versus fulfillment — all of these are human phenomena that can be explored, contemplated, and gently untangled through constellation work.

TAE - Thinking At the Edge

Out of Focusing, a branch grew — TAE: Thinking At the Edge. The tools are similar: consulting with the Felt Sense (FS), radical acceptance, curiosity, specific invitations, trust in Positive Implying, and more. But our orientation moves beyond the therapeutic field, and begins to explore the fields of inquiry, creation, and action. Both as someone accompanying processes and as someone being guided through such a process, this perspective is expansive and deeply enlivening — it opens possibilities and generates richness and power. In Focusing sessions, we usually begin from a starting point of a “problem,” difficulty, or a situation that is not “as it could or wants to be,” and we use the wisdom of the whole body to bring insights and recognition of the next right step. In TAE, the starting point is different. We begin with something we feel passionate about.

    BOT - Emotional Support

Birth-Oriented Therapy is an approach to accompaniment and therapeutic support for women, couples, and family units, specifically attuned to the unique life processes surrounding fertility, pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and parenthood. It was developed over the past decade by Keren Friedman Gadassi. BOT is a deep and gentle approach grounded in tools from Focusing, Family Constellation, and Somatic Experiencing (SE). When there are many things within and around us that need attention, release, reorganization, and a soft compassionate hand — BOT sessions can lead to clarity and connection with personal knowledge and inner resources. BOT sessions are suitable for challenges, difficulties, or struggles related to:

    Philosophy of focusing

I invite you to reading, learning, and personal-professional expansion gatherings through engaging with the writings of Eugene Gendlin. This is highly relevant for deepening the processes you accompany. This can take place in a group, a workshop or course, or in individual sessions. The areas included are: The Philosophy of Focusing: Process Model Practitioner Philosophy and Sexuality TAE (Thinking At the Edge) — accompanying processes for projects, therapists, creators, and more The Philosophy of Focusing has become the central axis of my life.
The Philosophy of Focusing - A Process Model

    Focusing

Focusing is the most effective way I have encountered for “solving problems,” supporting action and movement forward, offering emotional support, promoting physical health, and improving relationships. Focusing is an approach. It is a way of relating to the world. It enables a somewhat different kind of inner and outer dialogue — one that includes the different parts within us and allows flow, inspiration, and mutual nourishment between them. This kind of focusing can support inner clarity, relaxation, the emergence of connections and insights, connection to inner resources, feelings of capability and optimism, and a sense of the next right step. Focusing is a life skill. It is a process that supports the movement that is right for us. It offers a way of speaking inwardly and outwardly — a language of softness and wisdom that allows us to be: in relationship with all parts of ourselves, in supportive listening, in calmness, regulation, and in broad and deep presence; connected to the resources, knowledge, and wisdom within us that guide the next right step.

Come and get to know me: Lilach Benjaminy Coorsh
Hi, I’m Lilach Benjaminy Coorsh, 57 years old, living in Moshav Merhavia, and a mother of five children and two more of the heart.. For the past 23 years, I have been accompanying processes of reflection, change, and healing for women and couples, around life challenges and creative processes. Following the birth of my second daughter more than twenty years ago — with a master’s degree and a “stable” job — I entered the “real” world of life, death, birth, parenting, and ongoing processes of questioning and personal development. I began training as a doula, accompanying women and couples toward birth, and in a parallel and meaningful way, I accompanied my mother in her dying process. I changed the external framework of my life — I separated from the father of my two children, left my job and professional identity, and a year later I also moved from the center of the country to the north, toward a new relationship. Since then, I have been constantly learning. Learning, researching, teaching — and above all, meeting people. And together, with their knowledge and lived experience, I support the processes of change they choose to undertake. I work with B.O.T – Birth Oriented Therapy – facilitating communication in the birth field (B.O.T Level 2 practitioner, supervisor, and WF representative), I am a Focusing facilitator and teacher, and a Family Constellation facilitator certified by the Israeli School of Family and Systemic Constellations. The philosophy of Focusing is a deep axis in my life, and I have been teaching it over the past three years. I also facilitate and teach TAE – Thinking At the Edge, processes of inquiry and creation. I believe in life — in its power, its movement, and its orientation toward goodness.

From an educator, about the book:

“A few days ago, I attended a gathering of educators from a variety of educational approaches and unique schools. As we spoke about what today’s children need from us, the concept of ‘to be’ came up almost unanimously.

Ever since then, the question of what ‘to be’ actually means has not left me. I find myself wishing that someone would break it down into its components for me, help me place it in the right box in my mind… or at least find the right way to conceptualize it for me in Hebrew.

A week passed, and now I am sitting with Lilach’s book. The first chapter, which deals with presence, is speaking answers to my questions.

    A delight.

    Thank you!”

Run, run and read the book “Respectful Parent, Thriving Child” by Lilach Benyamini-Coorsh.

I finally started reading it, and I can’t stop.

Dear Lilach, how wonderful it is to read!

Your ability to describe and hold processes across multiple dimensions and with a wide sense of presence (I am amazed again and again at how the group process you facilitate and describe in the book mirrors the process of parenting), your words are so present and deep, and at the same time simple and fluid.

I am learning so much from every word you place down, מתוך החוכמה וההקשבה הפנימית שלך (from your inner wisdom and listening).

It is a true pleasure to read a book that is entirely a celebration of B.O.T., something rare in the world of parenting books… 😁

I am progressing through the book slowly and with great pleasure. Everything is explained with both depth and simplicity at the same time. It contains knowledge woven into storytelling—high-level material presented in a very accessible way. With each reading, I am deeply moved by the subtle quality of observation.

Lilach, like the kind of mother one can become, plans and also adapts flexibly to what is alive in the group. There is a real sense of a dance-like correspondence between the theory of Focusing and the attentive parenting that Lilach demonstrates.

    Wonderful 🙏🏼 Wonderful 💓

When I went to pick up the book And If It Were as It Could Be: Focusing in Respectful Parenting from the collection point in Binyamina, I had no idea that the moment I started reading, I would feel as though I had joined a process-oriented mothers’ group without even leaving my home.

I had no idea how much Lilach, through her warm and embracing writing, would support me with every page I read, or how much it would allow for an even greater expansion of presence in my parenting.

At a time when meeting in person, attending parenting workshops, or participating in personal growth programs can be complicated, this book is a much-needed gift—one that supports you, the parent, on the journey of discovering and shaping your own individual and unique way of parenting.

    Hi Lilach,

I’ve already written in the Israel Focusing group, and on the one hand I don’t want to overdo it or make things awkward, but on the other hand, it almost doesn’t feel fair to keep my excitement about your book to myself…

As I read, I feel that you are offering a wonderful model of how to listen and pay attention to oneself while, at the same time, extending that same attention to others.

I am deeply moved by your honesty, your clarity, and above all by your generosity in sharing the exercises and everything else. That is far from something to be taken for granted.

I hope our paths will cross again in the future, beyond the pages of the book as well.

The course enriched me with a wide range of tools and a broad spectrum of possibilities for action, and it served as a catalyst for courage in developing a way that suits me. And of course, I enjoyed the journey and the way it was presented, the outcomes, and the group. Many, many thanks, Lilach. – Amir

Thank you for the soft and embracing entry into the new and deep world of Focusing work. You were a meaningful, wholehearted support for me in every question or need. I really loved the atmosphere, openness, and flow you enabled. The feeling that the rich world of knowledge you bring is raw material, and that each woman can make it her own in her own way, helped me greatly to experiment with confidence and to listen to myself. I learned so much from you about holding a group, about flow, creativity, and listening inward and outward. A big thank you for the path and the generosity ❤️ – Hila

    The book
    Focusing on respectful parenting

This book documents a process-oriented parenting group, a book about parenting, a different kind of parenting: compassionate, reflective, and grounded in a belief in the possibilities of growth and change. It weaves together ideas and practices from the field of Focusing. It organizes knowledge and accompanies its application in real life. This is a book with the power to nurture and support. It offers a path of parenting that is developmental and expansive, carrying a vision of parenting that is, in some ways, different – a parenting approach that holds the life project of family and parenthood within a rich and interconnected tapestry. It is a book worth having on the shelf: as a resource for parenting and for parents; as a source of ideas for exercises, games, and alternative pathways for interaction; for different ways of meeting personal and parenting challenges; and as a resource for group facilitators and for facilitation more broadly. A book that makes the wonder present.
