Family Constellation – ‘Working with Trauma’ training
Family Constellation Modules – in Modi’in, the Golan Heights & Zoom
In this module, we will learn how to offer each component of trauma a corresponding ‘remedy’ – relevant and attuned support.
*** Trauma happens suddenly, without preparation. In the meetings themselves, we will learn about preparation and orientation — both for ourselves, as we encounter complex material, and in learning how to offer this to others.
*** In trauma, there is a threat to existence itself. In the course, we will maintain a sense of safety.
* In trauma, there is no sense of control. In the module, we will learn how to offer the person we accompany as many options as possible to guide and control their own process.
*** In trauma, there was no ability to respond. In the module, we will learn how to relate to the past through a present in which response becomes possible.
*** Trauma happens quickly. In the course, we will explore diverse ways of slowing the pace down. This is a central principle.
*** Trauma has an intrusive quality. In the course, we will pay careful attention to the way, pace, and intensity in which elements are invited into our inner world. We will also learn how to do this for those we accompany.
*** After trauma, things often remain frozen. We will learn how to invite movement back into the experience.
*** In trauma, we are alone. In the course, we will be deeply together — in many different ways.
It is impossible to overstate the importance of gentleness, listening, trust in goodness, and connection when meeting people carrying complex stories and trauma.
When meeting people carrying complex stories and trauma, the main offering of this module will be different kinds of skills, invitations, and processes for “content-free work.”
The understanding that it is possible to model a way of living alongside the story — with it, rather than needing to “eliminate” it — is something we will seek to embody for those who come to us.
The urgent need to “release,” “fix,” or “make it disappear” can itself become a mode that perpetuates the energy of trauma, and we will cultivate awareness and choice in relation to this impulse.
As an alternative, we will experience a compassionate and healing-oriented approach: gentle, attentive, deep, connected, and connecting work that is able to acknowledge trauma while offering pathways for transformation and growth alongside it and through it.
Especially in these times, it is so important to know how to find and cultivate a degree of safety and ease in meeting people who have been through difficult experiences. In other words – all of us.

This module is one of five required modules as part of the full certification track at the
Israeli School for Family and Systemic Constellation, founded by Yishai Gaster.
.
Module Syllabus – Session Topics:
- Gentleness – “Placing a cloth over the story”
- Listening – “Being together”
- Slowness – “What is the right distance?”
- Connection – “Entering and exiting the story”
- Radical acceptance and trust – “What else is present in the picture?”
- Danger – “Remembering to remember and remembering to forget”
- Lack of control – “The frozen part and the moving part”
- Inability to respond – “The movement that stopped”
- The trauma triangle – shifting perspectives
- Summary – creating space for the next right small step
.
- In each meeting, a constellational principle, idea, and skill related to holding encounters with complex narratives will be introduced.
- We will explore a conceptual axis, expand it through discussion and dialogue, questions and answers, and case studies.
- We will practice (individually or in pairs) a constellational skill, idea, or principle related to contact with trauma -allowing experiential learning and embodiment to be anchored in the body and lived experience.
- We will become familiar with the movement that seeks to emerge and its characteristics, as well as the next appropriate step for us within each space-question that arises.
- A new and fresh order will emerge — the one offered by the constellation session — along with ways of approaching it.
- There will be time for deepening, inquiry, and grounding of experiences and insights, as well as pauses and time for integration and organization of knowledge in between.
- Each session will include a demonstration of a personal constellational session in the plenary. This will be followed by shared learning based on the movements that occurred (and those that did not), and the possibilities of movement that emerged (without focusing on the personal content).
I would like to invite you into this. We will be a diverse and enriching group.
Constellations is a worldview and an approach for understanding and healing emotional and bodily pain, as well as disruptions in relational systems.
It is especially suited for working with complex narratives, where direct access to content itself may, in and of itself, interfere with healing.
.
.
Constellations view phenomena as part of the system to which they belong — mutually influencing and being influenced.
This approach sheds light on hidden influences and loyalties within families and relational systems, and guides both us and the system toward a new and supportive order. It is an invitation to pause, to courageously “dive” into encountering the material of life, and to meet the dynamics on the path toward growth and change.
It is suitable for people with curiosity about the movement of life and the flow of love, and for those who trust in processes of change and healing.
This module is an excellent path and space for personal development and for supporting the next step, as well as for professional enrichment for therapists and practitioners.
Family Constellation understands disruptions, blockages, physical symptoms, and emotional-spiritual pain as part of the family system and transgenerational transmission. Constellation work integrates well with various therapeutic, guiding, and supervisory approaches.

The Israeli School for Family and Systemic Constellation Studies:
The school was founded in 2006 by Yishai Gaster, and within its framework teachers, facilitators, and practitioners have been trained across the country to work with, facilitate, and transmit forward the systemic-phenomenological approach and the healing qualities of constellation work. As the school expanded, it received the name “The Constellation Path.”

This module is part of the full training track for certification of facilitators at the Israeli School for Family and Systemic Constellation.
Yishai Gaster, founder of the school, wrote about me and my course:
“An excellent course, facilitated by Lilach, who brings constellation work into a subtle and deep process, significantly supported by the healing movement emerging from Eugene Gendlin’s focusing approach. The integration that Lilach offers is unique in its kind and is recommended for anyone who has already experienced constellation work or is working with it, as well as for those for whom this is an opportunity to enter through a special doorway into constellational work.”
.
Who is this module suitable for?
From the second constellation module onward, or for therapists and facilitators.
- For people whose lives have brought them into contact with complex stories.
- For professionals in the fields of therapy, accompaniment, facilitation, and counseling.
- For group facilitators (excellent fit!).
- For educators (likewise).
- For parents who wish to expand their capacity for their daughters and sons.
- For those interested in processes of change and healing.
- For those with a love of, or curiosity about, constellation work.
- And for those who long for a soft, wise, and safe space for development — subject to an introductory and suitability conversation.
